# route.php polyline — longitude is wrong (from Delivery_App)

route.php returns `polyline` (here-flexible) + `steps` — thanks, that's §2.8. **But the re-encoded
`polyline` decodes to the wrong place** and can't be used to draw the route:

- Decoded polyline pt1 = `33.76999, +84.40398` — latitude correct, longitude **positive** (Atlanta is
west/negative) AND the magnitude/trajectory is off (route drifts west while the real route goes east).
It's not a simple sign flip — the whole longitude is corrupted by the re-encode (`guidance.recoded=true`).
- **The `steps[].lat/lng` are perfect**: first `33.76999,-84.3876` (depot), last `33.74676,-84.37271`
(Southside). So HERE's data is fine; only the polyline **re-encode** is broken.

**Two ways to fix, either is fine:**
1. Pass HERE's original polyline straight through (don't re-encode), and tell us the encoding, or
2. Fix the re-encode so longitudes keep sign + value.

**No longer blocking us:** the app now draws the route line from `steps[].lat/lng` (turn points),
which are correct — so navigation is right on screen today. A correct `polyline` would just give a
smoother road-following curve; nice-to-have, not urgent.
